Copyright and Intellectual Property
The Toolbox is an online, open-access library of engaging animal welfare content to build capacity and encourage progressing animal welfare around the world. The Tools may be resources, such as infographics, recorded lectures, PowerPoints, short tutorials, worksheets, and quizzes. Academics and specialists in animal welfare from around the world are invited to contribute a Tool to be made available in the Toolbox.
If you contribute any Tools to the Toolbox team for uploading onto the website:
- You do not transfer or assign copyright to us. Rather, you make the Tools available to the public through the Toolbox. You retain the right to request that we remove such content from the Toolbox at any time, and we will action that request as soon as practicable.
- You warrant that you have all necessary legal rights to upload the content to the Toolbox and that action will not infringe the rights of any person. You warrant that the Tools will not contain any material which is defamatory, derogatory, blasphemous or scandalous, and that it is accurate and not misleading. You agree to indemnify us against any losses, claims or damages we might suffer if you breach these warranties.
- You agree that the Tools will be made available on the terms of one of two Creative Commons licence options, where stated on each tool and resource. The Creative Commons Licence options are:
- CC BY-NC-ND 4.0., which is the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0).This licence does NOT allow users to distribut modified versions of the toolbox material. Users are free to distribute the material in unadapted form and for non-commercial purposes only, as only so long as attribution is given to the author. For more information 请点击这里。
- CC BY-NC-SA 4.0., which is the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0). This licence allows users to distribute modified versions.Distribution under this licence will mean end users are free to distribute modified or unmodified versions for non-commercial purposes only, and only so long as attribution is given to the creator. Google Analytics
The Animal Welfare Standards Project uses Google Analytics to gather statistics about how our web content is used, and statistics about our visitors such as their browsers and geographic location. No personally identifying information is collected.
The information collected includes:
- how visitors arrived at our pages (e.g. directly from a bookmark or typing in an address; from a search engine; linked from another page)
- which pages are viewed and for how long, including the viewing time and date
- the general geographical locations of visitors (as indicated by the network or internet service provider they use), anonymised demographics (age bracket and gender), and the speed of their internet connections
- technical information about the computers or devices used to browse pages, including the operating systems, browsers, plug-ins, screen types and default languages.
To opt out of analytics, you can download a browser add-on from Google. Alternatively, you can set your browser to refuse or delete cookies from Google Analytics. Check your browser’s help information to find out how.
Service Providers
We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our website, to perform Website-related services or to assist us in analyzing how our website is used. These third parties have access to your Personal Information only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
Children’s Privacy
Our website does not address anyone under the age of 18 (“Children”). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with Personal Information, please contact us. If we discover that a child under 18 has provided us with Personal Information, we will delete such information from our servers immediately.
